Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer effect [list of devices eligible for unlimited internet]

Reliance Jio MD Mukesh Ambani made a surprise announcement earlier this month, saying the free data incentive offered by the company would be extended by three months for its patrons.

Reliance Jio’s inaugural free welcome offer was supposed to end on December 31 2016, but with the launch of the Happy New Year offer, consumers can now enjoy high-speed internet for free until March 31 2017.

Reliance Jio subscribers are also entitled to get unlimited HD Voice (VoLTE: Voice-over-LTE), video calling and unlimited (9,000) SMS.

Soon after the announcement, Google released a new software update with VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) support to its flagship Pixel phone series. Now, Lenovo has joined the ranks by rolling out a similar firmware to all its 2016-based K series.
